Hi all
Just scanned the operators/parts manual for the loader.
You can find it here:

£100-£150. Theres quite a few of them still about so quite cheap. Suspect in a few years when they've all been scrapped, they'll be worth more.
Tractor is much more useful with a loader.

I'm sorry but this looks like a loader for a Ford 2/3000, not for a dexta

The book does say 2000 Dexta and 3000 Super Dexta but apart from possibly a few dimension changes and the fitment to the Hydraulics it looks very similar enough to be of help IMHO.
Cheers

Jerry's manual is for the 503 loader (2000 & 3000). Techically the loader for the Dexta is the 502. The differences are small, eg the belly bracket is different. The arms and the rams are the same. These loaders have the arms attached to upright beams just forward of the footplates, doubtless introduced to give easier access when getting on & off the tractor and for compatibility with a cab.

However most Dextas have the earlier frame (same arms), shown below, which doesn't help getting on & off:

I have both types of frame, but am using the earlier frame. Whilst the later frame is superficially attractive it has a significant drawback in that the arms and hence the load are about a foot further forward which increases the load on the front axle, not a good idea, and also makes steering heavier. So I think I'll be staying with the earlier frame untill I can no longer master the gymnastics of getting on.

So in conclusion Jerry's manual is pretty useful
