fuel tank feed options

Hi
I recently noticed fuel leaking from the pumping button and fuel feed to the inlet manifold. I have ordered a replacement but this doesn't have the manifold feed. This is obviously to aid starting but doesn't appear on the super dexta. Is it vital and where would I get a replacement part? Agriline did stock this item as a special but it was very expensive for what it is. Any advice or help much appreciated!
cheers

If your engine, injection pump and injectors are in good condition, the primer fuel feed is not essential except in sub-zero weather. Heat alone should usually be enough. If you have access to a machine shop, you could always rebuild your old primer after Stefan, using stihl chainsaw bits, as I have. Not that difficult and works well.
