Anyone installed these stab bars on a Dexta?

Post by Winchester »

I got these stab bars for my dexta. But the ends has a slight bend in them, making the angle a bit wrong to install them without some modefications.
Anyone using these stab bars and got a sugestion for a good install? Could I heat these ends and straighten them a bit? I don't know what metal they are made from.

hi

i have the short ones on my s dexta , they go from under axle to the check chain pivot point on link arm , had to buy new bolt , they work very well , the angles r not perfect but they work .
also gd because they twist / screw so easy to use , wish id bought them sooner
from agril........

on my MF 65 i have the longer ones which have there own stub/ pin near the end of the link arm also work very well
neither of them interfear with implement s they dont need a wider link pin ( un like the TE 20 's )

when i bought them i debated altering the angles but i've not bothered , (also didn't want to burn off the posh gold plating)
easyer to use when the holes wear a bit .
nut end to impiment from memory
hope this helps

I have tried to install them as you say to the bolt under the axle, but then all the way back to the link arm ends through the linkage Ball together with the bolt for the snow blade hook up. Should there be a pin/bolt on the link arms only for these stab bars on a super dexta?

is ur stabilizer bar the same length as ur lower link arm ?
the ones i use on my s dexta are the short ones on ag...... web site no. 4107

if urs is full length , and the impliments pin on ur snow plough is long / wide enough for the ball joint and stab bar i think it should work mate .

i had to change the stub pin thingy on mine as the original didnt have the stub on the out side for stab bar . 4159 on agri web site
i ll take new photos if it helps mate
i went for the short ones as not all impliments pins are wide enough for the stay and the link arm .
correct fit with a 1/2 " ish or abit more of side play on impliment ( needs a bit of play / not binding up )i think.

My setup looks like this:

This is both the same side, but two angles. It works on this snow blade, but I do see a problem if down the road with a smaller stub pin.
I did like your setup better. Maybe I buy the shorten ones :)
