PTO Guard?

Post by Chug-A-Lug »

Hi all,

I've been doing a bit more work transporting implements about and it's starting to become a pain having to remove the top link every time.

Am I right in thinking the PTO guard (if I had one) would locate the top link when not in use? I think I've seena photo of this, but can't find any information to confirm.

Thanks for any help.

Sam

Here's a photo of what I mean. Is this really an intended use of the PTO guard?

You need a Universal Nylon Bracket. A 'Bit of band' to the uninitaited.

I know you are suggesting that I string it up to something, but I wondered if there was a "proper" way to stow it when not in use.

Like I said, I'd seen the top link rested on the PTO guard when not in use, and wondered if this was an intended second purpose of the guard, or just somewhere to sling it in the hope that it didn't bounce around too much...?

There is no special place for the top link. The easiest way is to make a "bent wire" holder attached to the seat or a "rubber band" as has been suggested. I have seen hooks fitted to the radius rods to carry it too.

Ok, thanks everyone. I'll be making some kind of hook then...
