Now trying to drive out the pins on the Pedal and Collar. Then drive out the shaft with a very big hammer. The problem is that the pins won't shift. Does anybody know if these pins are tapered ? or something other than a plain pin ?

Want to have some real fun with shaft loosening??? I've retrieved more than one old cable type power shovels out of wet and swampy areas. Lots of stuck and rusty shafts to free. Just a glutten for punisment I am.

Dandy Dave!Looks like you might need to soak the whole tractor in diesel to get it out of that garage!supermajor61 wrote:An update on the stuck Super Major Diff Lock Pedal, it was seized solid.
Took Brian's advice and left it in a bucket of diesel for a month. Then tapped it with a hammer and oiled every few days.
It has now yielded and moves freely

It's back on the tractor now, put it up on the axle stands to test. Can engage the diff lock with just one hand now, and it works, wheels locked together.

Thanks Brian, , hope Super Sue yields to the diesel bucket as well.
Now for a road run, no worry now about having to be towed out by a green and yellow job.
