Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what size the nut is that holds the steering wheel on. My E1A is missing the nut so im going to have to replace it and the agriline one that ive bought seems to be too small.
Hope someone can help

Re: Steering wheel nut
Dear Paumass
Steering wheel retaining nut, according to my parts list is "5/8 inch UNF Blind Nut". Sorry I couldn't reply sooner, I was in France, without my Fordson Major Parts List (a heinous crime, I know!!)
Regards
Tim

Re: Steering wheel nut
Hi there, is it possible the wrong one has been sent out? As I bought a new nut and washer from there, and they fit perfectly.

Oh yay, look, another seized bolt! Lets get a hammer.....and some kano.....and some cider!

Re: Steering wheel nut
Hi
I just wondered Have you measured the threads on the colum or tried the 5/8 die on there. I have had them where the first 1 or 2 thread is bad at the start and its been a pig to get the nut to start threading to the point of Thinking it was the wrong nut. I didnt have the die and then had file the threads to get it to fit
. if the nut is missing I wonder if some kind sole tried to get the wheel off and hit the end of the shaft burring it slightly,Then could not get the nut back on and pitched it in the hedge and walked away
.
