g'day from a newbie

Post by MartyBoyce »

G'day all , new here , on the weekend I took delivery of my first Fordson , a 55 Major with bucket Actually my first tractor for that matter . She is a bit of a bush pig at the moment , needs seals on hydraulics for the busket replaced ASAP , but runs well and I had a bit of fun driving her around the paddock the other day. I will post up some pics over the weekend . I am looking at fitting the hydraulic lifter for a 3p linkage so will probably be asking alll sorts of newbie questions along the way . After she has finished all the work that needs to be done around here a full restoration will probably be organised, bit of a step up from the Sulkies I have been used to working on but you gotta modernise eventually
Some say that she is ugy , just a relic from the past
new tractors do it better and new tractors do it fast
but to me she is a beauty , every curve and classic line
My old Blue Fordson Major , hell to me she'll do just fine
