Hi All,
Reference 1961 petrol Super Major.
Does anyone have the Lucas part numbers for the cap, points, rotor arm and condenser and what is the Lucas model number of this distributer?
Regards
Pat

Have a look at Brian's post [above] re petrol/kero [TVO] ignition part nos. Interestingly the post states that no spark ignition engines were fitted after March 1957.

Hi could we please see some pictures of this tractor :) I just read in my book there where a few petrol majors built for export after 57 and it says the motor remained unchanged from 57 -64. I think there is 2 types of distributor and parts for it.
it should have numbers stamped on it either in the distributor casting or on a plate somewhere mine has a part no under the inside of the cap for that. the caps for the later petrol engines seem to be on ebay. But mines a 53 early one so they dont fit, looks like an expensive part bill from an english classic distributor parts guy for me
