That sounds like a scenario I don't want to have on my tractor as I think it's crowded enough around that area with the shifter already(having thoughts of hacking it off and re-welding it at another angle)... Anyways, I see the difference between the X and Y series and the E1A porting layout but still Pascal manages to use one on his tractor, why? Is he using an adaptor or is there something that will be "lost" when using an X or Y plate? To quote that robot Nr Johnny five: "Input, need input!"Brian wrote:Yes, I would agree with your comments but the porting layout is for a FMD or Power Major.
I think I see the answer, there is a plate, E285WP9 that blanks off the valve porting for the FMD/Power Major, and the valve system is fed from the Super auxillary chest via pipe E288WP9 return to tank is via E90WP9 into the filler cap.
It looks like Ford was using up old Power Major parts on the later tractor. It is only single acting on both levers though.
You learn something new every day on this site. I have never seen this in all my years, on a Super but many times on a Power Major. Must have been a massive lump on the front of the lift with the levers going vertical between the drivers legs. The lower bracket looks like it bolts to the gearbox/rear axle flange.

I been doing a little bit of work on the lift cover before I stick it back on. I noticed one of the O rings on the horizontal pipe had blown out, and the gasket where I've taken it apart had also blown out and was leaking all over the place.

Now my question is .. my tractor has one of those dual auxiliary hydraulics. 2 levers, don't really understand it to be honest.

Anyway the primary one which controls the lift arms, is tapped and the loader is powered off this. In order for the loader to work I think the lift arms need to be raised. Anyway my question is, should i swap them over and tap the oil flow from the 2nd one instead of the first to make it independent from the lift arms ? Can I do this without any problems ?

If you are lucky enough to own this piece of "rocking horse manure" equipment, by all means do change that plumbing and start using it
If there was a reason for it to be set up like it is now it will probably present itself when you attempt to use it...

Did you have to change anything to get it to work, Pascal?Pascal wrote:This is the hydraulic block on my tractor during the mounting.
It's from a Ford 3000. There a bolt in front to set it on single or dual.
Don't know if it's called DAR?
I read som much about different porting and stuff...
